What is the Shipwreck Festival?

The Shipwreck Festival is a one-day waterfront celebration of music, community, seaside culture, and spectacle—featuring live bands, roaming performers, local vendors, great food, and family-friendly activities.

When and where is the festival held?

The festival takes place on April 4, 2026, at Mill Point Park in Hampton, VA, right on the beautiful downtown waterfront.

What time does the festival start and end?

The festival will begin at 12:00 PM and the festival runs through the evening until 9pm. Exact performance schedules will be released closer to the event.

How much are tickets and where can I buy them?

Tickets are $15 plus tax for adult tickets.  Children's tickets 12 yrs old and under are FREE. You can purchase digital tickets here or visit one of the local Hampton businesses listed to purchase physical tickets.

Is the event family-friendly?

Yes! Shipwreck Festival offers fun for all ages. There will be music, roaming entertainers, kid-friendly vendors, and plenty of food options for everyone.

Are pets allowed?

Friendly, leashed pets are welcome. Please make sure your pet is comfortable with crowds, noise, music, and performers such as fire breathers.

What kind of entertainment can I expect?

Expect a mix of live tribute bands, nautical-themed fun, and on-stage acts that bring a sense of spectacle and seaside adventure.

Will there be food and drinks?

Yes! Enjoy food truck favorites, coastal-inspired eats, craft beverages, and specialty drinks available throughout the park.

Is outside food or drink allowed?

Outside food and non-alcoholic beverages are generally allowed, but outside alcohol is prohibited. Coolers may be subject to inspection.

 

Are there vendors?

Absolutely—browse unique local artisans, makers, oddities, and seaside-inspired goods throughout the festival.

Where should I park?

Parking is available in nearby downtown Hampton public lots and garages. Check our website for a parking map closer to the event.

What should I bring?

We recommend comfortable shoes, sunscreen, a water bottle, and a blanket or chair for relaxing by the waterfront to enjoy the music.

What’s the weather policy?

Shipwreck Festival is a rain-or-shine event. In cases of severe weather, updates will be provided via social media and the festival website.

Are refunds available?

Tickets are non-refundable unless the event is fully canceled. Full details will be listed at the time of ticket purchase.

Can I volunteer?
